I admit I've always wanted the sensational hair of perfect models like Heidi Klum or Laetitia Casta. Their hair always looks so professionally applied and yet so easily stunning all at the same time. While I might never have natural beauty of these biological supermodels, I believe it's fair to say that I can successfully attain their hairstyles. The most awesome part is, almost any lady can do it too. So tell us the secret? 2 words: hair extensions. Shhh, don't tell!

I first fell madly in love with hair extensions when I was a bridesmaid for a close friend's wedding. She dreamt of her bridal party to all have long, flowing hair to match her casual beachside wedding. Her theme was "beachside chic", as she likes to call it. I imagine my shoulder-length bob just was not right, so we called in a professional to give us the look we were after. It was my very first try with hair extensions, and I have not looked back since.

I would never have had the guts to try hair extensions if it weren't for this important day, but I'm so glad I did. Before having hair extensions, I presumed they were uncomfortable to put in, irksome to apply on a day-to-day basis, and that others would just see instantly that it wasn't my natural hair. Boy, was that wrong. It happened the opposite was true. They were simple to get and took no time at all, and I went from plain Jane to a stunner in a matter of hours.

I was able to manage them with minimum fuss and daily care, and they continue to looked as good as the day I got them. Naturally the best part was all of the compliments I'd get from everyone. My family and good friends knew it wasn't my real hair, because it was obvious that my hair really could not grow that fast, but absolute strangers could not know the difference!

Nowadays I'm a total hair extension convert, and I completely recommend them for anyone who wants to get gorgeous hair like you'd see in a magazine or on your favorite celebrity. I must admit, when I walk out of the house with my extensions, I'm noticeably more confident. Looking good translates into feeling great, and I have that extra boost thanks to my extensions. I know it may seem daft or fickle to say that a rocking hairstyle causes you to feel better about yourself, but it's absolutely true. And that's something I am sure each woman who has tried can testify to!
