The Popular Trend Of French Wax

By Chloe J. Mills

The removal of pubic hair is common practice now around the world, especially since the introduction of the bikini. There are different types of methods used to do this, some better than the other. The popular trend of French wax is appealing to more women than all others.

First of all, the individual must understand that certain methods have many names attached to them, depending on their geographical location. With regards to French waxing, it is also known as a partial Brazilian, a landing strip, G waxing and also as the Playboy. This particular style requires removing pubic hair in the entire region, leaving only a vertical strip that is about one or 2 inches in height.

Another popular style is the American, although this is just a matter of cleaning up the area and defining the bikini line. On the other hand, the most drastic of all is the Brazilian which removes every single hair in the area from front to back without excluding the anus. For your information, it is also referred to as the Sphinx as well as the Hollywood.

Aside from women undergoing these procedures are in regular basis, men have also caught on to the trend, opting for a cleaner look and one that is seemingly more hygienic. Besides the use of this material, people still use other hair removal methods such as shaving, sugaring, depilatory creams and other more permanent solutions, such as laser.

Some would argue that the more permanent solutions are not as permanent as people would want them to be, requiring extra sessions that can be quite costly. Additionally, they would continue to argue that styles change just as much as personal preferences, and a permanent solution might not allow for these.

Of course, the choice is a personal one and left up to the individual. What is recommended is for people to understand the benefits and the downsides of every method to ensure they are satisfied with the results and there are no unpleasant surprises.

With regards to shaving, it is a quick and easy way to go about it, but it can easily cause irritation as well as cuts. The problems associated with this method are the short-lived results, the ingrown hairs and irritation that is practically inevitable. Depilatory creams are better, allowing for a few days of hair free results, only that one has to endure the unpleasant smells.

Waxing provides long results that can last for weeks, and the more this procedure is used, the weaker the hair follicles become. That means that over time, the need for frequency will decrease. Obviously, these are some of the benefits that come with this procedure, others being a more erotic looking area and ultimately body, increased hygiene, and the ability to wear many more styles of bathing suits. On the downside, one needs to prepare him or herself for the discomfort that can ensue. Furthermore, the procedure should be done by a professional ensuring the best results and minimizing the risk of ingrown hairs, infection and irritation.
